So The Black Angels @ Melkweg were pretty great. We have some footage of our set that we may or may not put on here later. You can find it on youtube. Also we bumped into this awesome review from the friendly folks at Kindamuzik. We’re slow with finding out who reviewed our EP but we’re pretty siked about all the positive feedback.

Well, it’s pretty short but nevertheless pretty great.
Slangen en Dinosauriërs
Reken even mee. De optelsom van het hypnotiserende, bijna zelfs machinale, van pak ‘m beet de Screaming Trees en Dinosaur Jr, en af en toe ook een beetje ouwe punk, het is in feite niks nieuws, maar het is in het geval van Viper Cobra eigenlijk wel heel gaaf gedaan. Ik zou zweren dat ik in ‘Dawn Of The Tripods’ de baslijn van The Stooges’ ‘TV Eye’ terughoor. En zonder dat het me stoort, laat ik dat vooral ook benadrukken.
Kortom, Nederland is weer eens een bandje rijker dat wel ergens over gaat. Vergeet popinstituutvulling als Moke, De Staat en al die andere hippe rommel en geef Viper Cobra een kans.
Ik mag hopen dat ze nooit in de Oor komen te staan.
Op hun Myspace en hun website kun je wat luisteren, maar ik zou gewoon direct naar vipercobrapunk@gmail.com mailen om hun vier tracks tellende zilveren schijfje ‘Dinosaur Nation’ te bestellen. Kost je hooguit een paar euro. Het zal me overigens benieuwen wanneer het vinyl komt.
we are working on 3 new songs. all 3 songs are a bit different from each other, but we are really siked about all of them. one of the songs is called ‘six more years’ and will contain leading vocals by me and double vocals by sjarm or gareth… or the other way around. we have to find out the next time when we are in our rehearsal studio, cuz yesterday we could only use one mic cuz the cenobites stole our mic stands… cheeky bastards.
